Minority students generally have lower retention and graduation rates then white students. Recently I wrote a chapter Minority Student Retention: Resources for Practitioners that appeared in Gather, G. H. (ed) (2005). Minority retention: What works? San Francisco, CA: Jossey-Bass.
The chapter provides retention/attrition and graduation data, a brief literature review, information on African American, American Indian, Hispanic retention, commonalities and looking ahead.
To view the chapter you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. You can get a copy by going to Acrobat Reader.
